Acidity can arise when a person eats spicy diet and due to lifestyle changes or during festive seasons after attending a function.
Acidity need to be controlled in the initial stages for better health.

Jagger if eaten after every meal can lower acidity.
1tsp of baking soda mixed in water works well to reduce acidity. Baking Soda is alkaline and it neutralizes acid in stomach.
Drink a glass of warm water every morning to get rid of acidity.
Avoid consumption of tea, coffee and aerated drinks as they cause acidity or aggravate it. These beverages cause heartburn and should not be taken. You can consume in very little quantity if you are used to them totally.
Avoid smoking as it increases acidity and avoiding them completely can help to reduce acidity.
Avoid alcohol as it has warm and burning effect. It gives you burning sensation as it goes down the stomach of you sip it. It further aggravates acidity.
