These blemishes can be easily treated at home by using some kitchen ingredients. You can know what to use to get rid of blemishes at home.

Aloe Vera works well for blemishes

Aloe vera gel can be applied on any type of skin for treating different skin problems. It nourishes and hydrates the skin. It can also lighten blemishes by reducing the overproduction of melanin, skin pigment when acne scar appears.

Apply fresh aloe vera gel on the affected area twice a day. Rub the gel on elbows and knees as well to reduce pigmentation.

Potatoes to treat blemishes

Potato is a bleaching agent and is rich in starch, it can reduce skin discolouration and blemishes. It contains an enzyme known as catecholase that stimulates the growth of healthy skin. Use potato directly on the blemishes to lighten them.

Honey for skin blemishes


Honey works effectively to make your skin glow and also bleaches the skin thus reduces blemishes. Honey is antibacterial in nature and helps you to get rid of acne and moisturize the skin. Honey is used in various face masks to make skin glow.

Adding lemon juice to honey works wonders for tired dull skin by reducing blemishes and pigmentation. Raw honey gives best results than processed honey.

Witch Hazel

Witch Hazel is a herb found in USA and is the best remedy to get rid of blemishes and spots. It consists of a natural astringent that dries out the oils present in acne. It also works as a skin toner , reduces oily scalp and skin problems, fights acne and moisture. It also works best for burns, cuts and wounds.

For this apply a drop of witch hazel with cotton swab evenly on the skin to lighten blemishes and to tone your skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar to get rid of blemishes

It has anti-fungal properties and also controls bacteria and gives you oil-free skin. It can be applied directly on the area to lighten pigmentation. You can also drink it in diluted form to boost health.
