Preparation of Turmeric Powder:

The rhizome of turmeric is used to make powder. The rhizomes are uprooted and they are made free from mud and are boiled in hot water and they are dried in the sun. Afterwards they are powdered and they are free from the moisture.

Active Ingredient of Turmeric:

The active ingredient of the powder is Curcumin and the yellow colour is due Curcuminoids.
